Doug Purcell is a Managing Director at Fort Sheridan, where he employs an institutional approach to individual investing, leveraging both active and passive management strategies. His comprehensive financial planning expertise enables him to address clients' near and long-term goals.

With an extensive institutional background, Doug has honed his skills on fixed income and middle market equity trading desks, where he serviced financial institutions, hedge funds, and money managers. This experience has equipped him with a deep understanding of the intricacies of the financial markets and the ability to navigate complex investment landscapes.

Doug holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Illinois and a Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law. This unique combination of financial and legal expertise provides him with a well-rounded perspective on investment management and regulatory compliance.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Doug has demonstrated a strong commitment to his community. From 2011 to 2019, he served as a board member for both the Downers Grove Grade School District and the School Association for Special Education in DuPage County, contributing his expertise to the education sector.

Complementing his professional and civic endeavors, Doug is dedicated to his family life with his wife and their three children.
